He might have retired from the world of comedy and live performing, but legendary watermelon-smashing comedian Leo Gallagher continues to find ways to smash America, even if it doesn’t involve a watermelon or a sledge hammer. The comedian announced that he will be appearing on Monday morning’s Over Breakfast with Scott Spears & Company, a radio show broadcast from Marion, Ohio.
“I want you to pay attention on Monday morning,” said Gallagher. “We’re going to do a lot more than smash a watermelon. We’re going to smash America, and I’m going to tell you how– because Ohio is the key to the Presidential Election.”
Earlier this year, Gallagher suffered a heart attack before a performance at Lewisville, Texas and had two stents replaced. While being hospitalized , he was placed under a medically induced coma which eventually resulted in his retirement.
Two days after announcing his retirement, he suffered a second heart attack and was once again hospitalized.
If you want to tune in, you can listen to Over Breakfast online at radiomarion.com. Who knows? Maybe he’ll put in his two cents on his favorite presidential candidate.
